Depending on your order, large and heavy items are usually packaged in multiple boxes and some boxes may arrive sooner than others. Wood splits are perfectly normal and will naturally occur from environmental changes due to the organic nature of timber. Changes in temperature and moisture levels can cause natural splits and checks in the timber as it shrinks and dries over time. Natural timber products are extremely sturdy and durable; the majority of wood splits will never become large enough to affect the reliability and strength of our products.

When measuring out your outdoor area, make sure you factor in 1-2 metres around the play set for safety purposes. You’ll find the assembled dimensions on the product page under the ‘Product Specs’ tab so just simply add on an extra 1-2 metres around it.

Just make sure the ground is levelled on a solid surface, preferably using soft playground mulch. 

A support base is recommended for cubby houses. The easiest base to construct for an on-the-ground cubby house is using timber sleepers. Support must be used for all floor joins and under all walls to limit movement. As the cubby house is made from timber it is recommended to create a barrier between the cubby house and the ground to minimise the risk of moisture build up.
